Gandhi Jayanti Celebration at Geneva by Permanent Mission of India and Indian Association, Geneva

Celebration of Gandhi Jayanti at Permanent Mission of India, Geneva jointly with Indian Association of Geneva on Monday 2nd October, 2017.

The Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations and other International Organizations together with the Indian Association in Geneva celebrated 148th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on Sunday, 2nd October, 2016 at Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations in Geneva.

Over 100 members of Indian diaspora, Gandhian scholars, President and members of the Indian Association, and Members of the Mission participated in the celebrations. 
Shri Rajiv Kumar Chander, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations and other International Organizations in India paid floral tribute to the Father of the Nation.   He mentioned that 2nd October was declared by the United Nations as International Day of Non-violence. 

French edition of the book 'Gandhi’s Outstanding Leadership' authored by Ambassador (Rtd) Pascal Alan Nazareth was scheduled to be released at the United Nation’s Library in Geneva on the occasion of International Day of Non-violence.
